The artist  William Henry Walker’s version of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is one of the most elusive and decorative of all early 20^th Century editions. Originally issued in 1907 by John Lane, we have recreated the original to the highest specifications.

Printed in the UK by traditional off-set photo lithography, the paper is sustainably sourced, with the pages sewn rather than glued. The delicate yet vibrant illustrations have been exactingly printed and every inch of the cover and spine painstakingly retraced by hand to create a stunning edition to keep or gift. .  There are  8 full colour and 42 black  and white illustrations throughout.

If you are able to source a first edition of the original, the price in good condition is £1000.00  upwards.  In fact, even in 1907, the elaborate gilt was so expensive to produce that it was abandoned halfway through the print run and replaced with a simpler form.
